The 3D, Immersive, Interactive Media (3DIIM) Cluster is the main umbrella structure embracing related EC funded projects to develop joint strategic goals towards technologies of novel media modalities in the context of the future Internet. It includes projects in the following areas:

• New 3D and holographic media capture, distribution and representation
• Media immersion in real/virtual and local/remote environments using new avatar technology
• Media Interaction with active content production, sharing, archiving and browsing with common peer groups, e.g. in social networks

The 3DIIM Cluster also provides international contact and information about project activities.
